“Duck Dynasty” star Willie Robertson recently shared an emotional video of him baptizing one of his close friends who was battling cancer.

Robertson posted the video as a memorial to his friend, 46-year-old Rick Carone, whom he revealed went home to be with the Lord since the baptism.

The video shows Robertson and Carone in the baptismal font. Robertson becomes emotional while speaking to the crowd. He says that Carone is choosing to fight against the disease that had taken ahold of him, but that he wanted to be baptized to “make sure he is right for eternity.”

"No matter what, we're going to be in eternity together," says Robertson, before asking Carone who's going to be the Lord of his life to which Carone replies, "Jesus Christ."

Robertson then baptizes Carone in the name of Jesus and the crowd cheers.

Robertson has since revealed that Carone went home to be with the Lord:

"Today marks the end of a long battle for our good friend Rick Carone," Robertson posted on the Buck Commander Facebook page. "Cancer may have taken Rick's earthly body but now he is in heaven walking with Jesus! Rick inspired so many people and will forever be remembered as a fighter. See ya' soon brother! We love you!"

Carone was not only a friend of Robertson’s, but a longtime employee of the Buck Commander business.
