God’s Power Is Transformational
His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness - >2 Peter 1:3
Fear. Awe. Wonder. These are all things we seek out in life. Some of us like to push the envelope with extreme sports. We want that rush of adrenaline. Others seek out awe-inspiring landscapes and locations. Many of us watch TV shows or movies that cause us to wonder at the creativity of the creators. Yet all of these are merely microcosms of a greater need we have – the need to connect with our all-powerful, omniscient God.
God’s power instills in us fear, awe, and wonder. When we truly contemplate God’s power, our response should be one of utter amazement. Have you stopped to consider the power of God? Have you truly thought about the power He has to create the universe, yet also to love you intimately and eternally? When you think about it, you’ll begin to realize that God’s power can and does transform everything in your life. Have you experienced that transformational power for yourself?
As you begin to start a conversation with God today – perhaps for the first time – simply thank Him for the fact that He is all-powerful. You may not be able to fully articulate your awe as you consider it. That’s okay. Simply stand in the presence of God’s power, and allow that power to infiltrate your life today.
Consider the ability of God’s power. Read Job 38:1-11 to see a glimpse of what God can do with the mere mention of His desire.
