The Journey with Ron Moore

Daily Deliverance | Psalm 105:39-45

Today's Passage: Psalm 105:39-45
Key Verses: Psalm 105:39-42

He spread out a cloud as a covering, and a fire to give light at night. They asked, and he brought them quail; he fed them well with the bread of heaven. He opened the rock, and water gushed out; it flowed like a river in the desert. For he remembered his holy promise given to his servant Abraham.

Our need for God's deliverance is never one and done or two and through. Our thanksgiving for yesterday's relief quickly turns into a new prayer for another rescue. There is never a day when we are not depending on God.

After God delivered Israel from Egypt, the journey through the wilderness began. The nation needed God more than ever. They were free from Egypt, but not free from their need for God. They needed protection during the day. They needed light to guide them during the dark nights. They needed food. They needed water. Every day God provided exactly what they needed.

And every day God will provide exactly what we need. Let him know your needs today. Thank him for his provisions tonight. Thank God that he reminds us often of our dependence on him. If not, we might start thinking we were good to go on our own.

Father, keep us dependent on you. There we will always find all we need. In Jesus' name. Amen.
