When Jesus speaks

When Jesus speaks

Thought- When the Lord Jesus speaks, things change in an instant.

Scripture- “Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” Ephesians 6:13-27

Insight: The above Scripture from Ephesians 6 mostly talks about ways for Christians to protect themselves from the spiritual assaults of the enemy by putting on the protective armor of God. However, the only offensive weapon we are commanded to take hold of is the “Sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” It is very important to understand how powerful the word of God is when it comes to playing offense in the spiritual super bowl that is raging all around us. It is where the true power of God resides, and how we can call on the same power Jesus had when we speak the truth of scriptures, through the Holy Spirit, as mentioned in John 14:12.

Remember, throughout the New Testament Jesus speaks few words or even a single word that lead to instantand powerful change of the circumstances He was encountering with His Disciples His words made the fig tree wither in Matthew 21:19, He calmed the wind and the waves in Matthew 8:26 and He made the demonic spirits leave Legion in Mark 5:8. Whenever the world seems completely out of control, Jesus assures His disciples and me and you that He is firmly in control. But Jesus will save His most powerful words for the Anti-Christ during the great tribulations and the Battle of Armageddon. When everything seems most lost and the world has been suffering through the most horrific period of human history, and when Israel is invaded and seemingly surrounded on every side, Jesus will come down from Heaven and deliver the most stunning victory in human history, with just a few words of His mouth. The unholy trinity of the devil, that anti-christ and the false prophet will all be doomed without a single shout fired as 2 Thessalonians 2:8 proclaims “And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming. So, when things seem most out of control in your life, remember Jesus is holding all things together, as Colossians 1:17 promises.  Speak His words of truth into your life and see the maximum results He will provide. He alone has the power to change your situation,

Prayer: Father God, thank you that you have everything under control, even when it seems just the opposite. Thank you that you have given your Son, Jesus, total power for victory on earth. Amen!
