Chris Pratt Thanks Jesus in First Public Appearance Since Divorce Announcement

Actor Chris Pratt is reportedly getting divorced from his wife of eight years, fellow actress Anna Faris.
Pratt has been vocal about his Christian faith, and has even shared his conversion story. However, since news of the divorce emerged last week, Pratt has remained mostly silent.
In his acceptance speech for the Teen Choice Award he received for his role in the popular film Guardians of the Galaxy, Pratt thanked Jesus.
“Wow, thank you, I love you too,” he said, as he was handed the award by Stranger Things actress Miller Bobby Brown, dancer-actress Maddie Ziegler, and America’s Got Talent winner Grace VanderWaal. “I would not be here....without my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”
According to ChristianToday.com, Pratt appeared in good spirits at the award ceremony, although he was not wearing his wedding ring and did not mention his impending divorce.
Pratt released a statement last week that he and Faris had “tried hard for a really long time” to make their marriage work and were “really disappointed” at the way things turned out.
The couple said they maintain a love for each other and are committed to raising their four-year-old son, Jake. Pratt indicated that no further comment on the separation would be coming at this time by updating his social media account to say “gone fishin.’”
