This very human example has taught me an appreciation of God’s steadfast love for His child. His love, truth, and faithfulness are independent of remembering to take out the garbage or clean up the kitchen. He asks little of us in return for his magnanimous love, yet we often fail in the little He requests. He may weary of our temper tantrums or disobedience, but He will never shirk from His promise. His Perfect Love covers our mistakes, lack of ambition, and even our thoughtlessness.

If every human being failed to believe, God’s truth would still prevail. His love and compassion far exceeds our failings. This truth helps us rise each morning and face the day with confidence.

Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days (Psalms 90:14).
