Most of us are riddled with anxiety. We worry about what happened yesterday, and often ruminate about what might happen tomorrow. Sometimes we try to push away anxieties, pretending that our worries don’t exist, when certainly they do. Christians are told to manage their anxiety “by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God” (Philippians 4:6). This is a powerful antidote to worry. Try it.
