Managing Your Moods

Moods are like temporary insanity. We receive bad news, such as a loss of a job or a broken relationship, and feel overwhelmed by the news. All we can see is the bad in it. Perhaps you are experiencing something a bit less dramatic, but still we are in a ‘bad mood.’ Fortunately, we can change our moods, and certainly our faith can help us with this. The Apostle Paul encourages us to “consider it all joy when you encounter various trials” (James 1:2). When we consider how a troubling situation may actually be teaching us something valuable, we are able to be joyful about it. What is happening in your life for which you need to practice being joyful about it?
