Prepare for God to Work

Do you see the glass as half empty or half full? Do you brace yourself for the next calamity, or do you prepare yourself for the next blessing? Your attitude is critical for what occurs in your life. Joshua told the Israelites, “Consecrate yourselves for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you” (Joshua 3:5). Consider what you would like God to do in your marriage, envision it and prepare yourself for it.
Dr. David Hawkins is the director of the Marriage Recover Center where he counsels couples in distress. He is the author of over 30 books, including Dealing With the CrazyMakers in Your Life, 90 Days to a Fantastic Marriage, and When Pleasing Others is Hurting You.
