Taking Time for Yourself

Many believe it is selfish to take time for yourself. Note, however, that Jesus “sent the crowd away” (Matthew 15: 39). He got into the boat and went off to be alone. Why might he have done that when there were so many who needed him? The simple answer is that Jesus needed time to reflect, pray and be alone with the Father. If He needed time to be alone, how much more do we need the same? Take time today to read, pray, reflect and consider your life.
