Giving When We Have Nothing to Give
“For in a severe test of affliction, their abundance of joy and their extreme poverty have overflowed in a wealth of generosity on their part.” >2 Corinthians 8:2
Have you ever given when you had nothing to give? The Macedonian church went through a period of severe trials, yet those trials and the poverty they experienced didn’t deter them from displaying crazy generosity.
Man looks at the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart. It’s not the amount, it’s not the mathematical formula, but the spirit with which we give that pleases Him. Every time we give, let’s remember the Macedonian church and their joy of sacrificial giving.
