I thought about "Was Jesus Mean?" I don't believe he was I read Hebrews 12:1-29 and it says that God disciplines his children just like our parents discipline us....and in my opinion Christ was being made something he wasn't by Pharisees and others in the Bible and I don't know about other people but sometimes when I get corrected it may seem harsh or mean but I remember too that God or who ever it may be correcting me loves me and it's for my benefit.

Jesus was not mean. The truth is never mean. It is mean for us not to tell us the truth when they need to hear the truth. Love speaks truth. Just like a parent with a child that has a friend that is not a loyal friend to our child. We must tell our child the truth that their friend is not a good friend and they should not have that friend as a friend. Yes at many times the truth does hurt. But we do it with love, care and concern.

It would be mean if we did not tell our child the truth about their so-called friend.

Just like telling others about their sins is not mean if we do it because we care about them and their souls. It would be mean though if we see someone heading to hell, and we sit back and say nothing at all about Jesus and the hope that we have in Jesus.

No Jesus was not mean! Down right blunt YES!
If so called Christians are mean ,then you must look at their fruit. Is it good or bad? If good then they are Christian, if bad ,well, not so Christian.
