I have run into a few situations, notably one in a mental hospital with two other patients, and another in church with a deacon, where another man "has a problem" with me.

In each case, the other guy thought he was the alpha dog in the pack. I simply never responded to their self-acclaimed "alpha-ness," but somehow quietly became more popular, more sought-after, more of a leader (judging by who followed whom).

Maybe (and I hope) others saw a Jesus-quality in me (even before I was born-again).
