Though most Christians are already familiar with the Sydney-based megachurch, Hillsong is hoping to expand its witness even further. Relevant has announced that the Pentecostal church will join with Trinity Broadcasting Network to create The Hillsong Channel, a 24-hour TV network. Launching June 15th, The Hillsong Channel will feature worship performances, sermons, children’s programs, and a variety of other content for faith-based viewers. Relevant writes,
“In a statement, TBN Chairman Matthew Crouch said, ‘This powerful new praise and worship network will offer an amazing opportunity for us to reach a whole new generation of viewers with the message of hope and grace as we partner with the most iconic and far-reaching presence in contemporary Christian music.’”
The Hillsong Channel will be available through a number of cable providers, including AT&T, Sky, Fios, and Direct TV.
