Read: Psalm 138

Key Verse: “When I called, You answered me; You made me bold and stouthearted.” - Psalm 138:3

How bold are you? Are there times when you need to be more bold? Why is being bold risky? In this psalm, David describes boldness as a desirable quality. In fact, God is the one who gives David boldness. Boldness can be dangerous and destructive when it is combined with pride, false information, or bad timing. Boldness came to David after he asked God for help. How often do you ask God for boldness?

Without boldness, friendships are shallow. Without boldness, families do not experience healing. Without boldness, the gospel does not spread very far. Without boldness, prayers are lackluster. Without boldness, there is no innovation. Without boldness, you can miss the promptings of the Holy Spirit.

Boldness is the spark plug in the engine. David boldly desires that all of the kings of the world would praise God with him. What is your boldest request?
