Since 1913, Hollywood has produced at least nine movies about the biblical Esther. But perhaps the most intriguing is the latest, "One Night With the King", which does a laudable job telling the timeless, inspiring story of a young girl’s bravery amidst treachery, scandal, and genocide.

For anyone who loves Will Ferrell's brand of absurd man-child humor, you get more of that in The Other Guys—but only in fits and starts. If his early films felt consistently inspired, this one follows the trend of feeling more like a work-for-hire. Ferrell's just coasting here, as is the whole movie.

"Out of Time" provides Denzel Washington with the kind of role he shines in because he can play the everyday man who is tough, manly and falls prey to his own stupidity in a believable way. Most people will relate to his “good guy” character and will have empathy for his bad choices.

Once in a while a good “family movie” arrives on the scene providing clean family entertainment for kids without torturing the adults. With its fun characters, Over the Hedge fits this bill, even though measured against Pixar soon-to-be classics like The Incredibles and Finding Nemo, comes up wanting.
