Ruby Sparks

Though not without promise, the story and its moral feel more appropriate to a TV-length program rather than a feature film.

Rugrats Go Wild

This is a fun-filled family movie that little ones will enjoy because it stars familiar characters from TV that they've come to know and love. Parents, you'll enjoy a few laughs along with the kids and overall, the family will be able to enjoy the adventure.

Rum Diary, The

While The Rum Diary hints at themes of political and corporate corruption, it never invites deeper analysis of its story.

Runaway Jury

For those of you who are John Grisham fans and wondering if the movie is anything remotely like his 1996 best-selling legal literary thriller, it’s not. It's a political soapbox against gun manufacturers and does it in such an obvious, over-the-top way, that it should be embarrassing to everyone involved.

Runaways, The

If The Runaways is nothing we haven't seen before in terms of its story arc, it's also notable for strong performances from Kristen Stewart, Dakota Fanning and Michael Shannon. However, the debauchery and hedonism on display make the film difficult to watch.

Rundown, The

This is the rundown – this movie rocks! Fans of The Rock won’t be disappointed. In fact, this movie will generate a whole new audience for the guy, because he does a great job with his acting and stunts.

Runner Runner

A year out from Argo, a Ben Affleck film is coasting by with sloppy editing, poor cinematography and basic disregard for good dialogue.

Rush Hour 3

If you’ve seen Rush Hour 1 or 2, then you’ve seen 3. While the first one was clever, edgy and funny, the second paled but managed to hold its own. Now, numero tres is like warmed over scrambled eggs: you can choke it down, but you really hate paying for it.

In what’s essentially a cleaner, PG remake of the classic Vacation series for the iPod generation, can a road trip bring a family closer together? Well, minus the RV, it always seemed to work wonders for the Griswolds.
