The Best of the Bunch

It was a unique idea:  invite worship leaders from around the country to submit songs for a worship CD, take the best of the bunch and put them together on a CD. Well, the idea was CeCe Winans’ and the result is Pure Worship. More than 1,000 songs were submitted from worship leaders around the country, with only the best making the cut. After the psalmists were selected, they were flown to Nashville for an intimate recording. For extra measure, CeCe Winans’ Nashville-based PureSprings Gospel added a bonus medley of worship classics to the October 28 release.

Mississippi Mass Celebrates 20

Finally, Rev. Milton Biggham, Melvin and Doug Williams, and Huey Williams were among those on hand at the New Jerusalem Church in Jackson, Mississippi to join the Mississippi Mass Choir in celebrating two decades in the record industry. Malaco Records will mark the occasion with the release of a commemorative CD & DVD documentary entitled The First Twenty Years.
