Mercy: Live from Dublin – Music Review
- Thursday, February 13, 2003
Artist: Eoghan Heaslip
While Eoghan Heaslip is a newcomer to the American Christian music scene, in his homeland he’s been dubbed the “Matt Redman of Ireland.” With a live band backing him, Heaslip delivers 13 songs of contemporary praise & worship, not veering far from the territory of other worship leaders such as Kevin Prosch.
Producer Paul Mills (Let the River Flow) keeps the production clean and simple, allowing the focus to stay on the songs. Repetitive lyrics and choruses populate this CD, which includes favorites like “Here I Am to Worship” and “Lord Have Mercy,” as well as many of Heaslip’s originals. Fans of Redman should find plenty here to keep them happy.
