Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ…

--Ephesians 1:3

There is something more valuable and real than having real estate, stocks and bonds, and bank accounts. It’s called God’s rich blessings. If I were to ask you, “Are you blessed?”…what would you say? I would probably get a host of answers. But let me begin by saying if you are a believer in Jesus Christ by right of His grace through faith, then you are abundantly blessed!

Do you know what being blessed by God means? It is to know, feel, experience, and relish God’s assurance and promises in our lives. It is to enjoy all of the abundant provision of God that He has given us in Christ Jesus and secured in us by the Holy Spirit.

Lloyd John Oglebee, a Presbyterian minister from California, said, “We all need the blessing desperately. It is the one great need we all share in common. We were born for it and there’s no lasting joy without it. Oxygen for the lungs and protein for the body is what God's blessings are for our souls. With it we become winsome and free. Without it, we are willful and fearful. It is the one thing people most need from us, but the one thing we cannot give until we have received it. It is life’s most precious possession.”

The blessings of God—I need it, you need it, and the world needs it.   You have all the love, joy, peace, power, and patience you need in Him alone. You have it all in Jesus! What you and I need to do is fully possess Him, and start living and experiencing the blessings of God.

AS BELIEVERS, WE HAVE ALL THINGS THAT PERTAIN TO LIFE AND GODLINESS.
