Independence Day: Declaring Financial Freedom

If just American Christians paid their tithe, we could afford to feed, clothe, and care for the world and have tens of billions to spare. Just a dime off of every dollar! And one thing I've seen in most American churches is that for every family who honestly cannot afford to tithe, there is at least one other family (if not several) that could give 15% or more and not bat an eye-lash.
We, therefore, the Representatives of God’s family, in churches across this country, Assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good People of these Colonies, solemnly publish and declare, That these United believers are, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent financially, that they are Absolved from all Allegiance to the world, and that all connection between them and the world, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as Free and Independent people, they have full Power to gain control of their finances, establish generous giving, and to do all other Acts and Things which financially Independent people may of right do. — And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.
