The children of American pastor Saeed Abedini, who has been in an Iranian prison for two years are pleading with President Obama to help secure the release their father. Abedini has been imprisoned in Iran and sentenced to eight years for his faith.

Charisma News reports, “Abedini's children, 7-year-old Rebekka and 6-year-old Jacob, are begging President Obama to put an end to their father's misery.”

In the video that is now circulating the internet the child plead, "Dear President Obama, please help bring my daddy home.”

In May, Abedini was hospitalized for injuries allegedly he suffered at the hands of guards and inmates in Iran’s Evin and Rajai Shahr prisons. According to family members he was beaten and tortured in the prisons known for brutal treatment of its prisoners.

The YouTube video that is translated in both English and Persian reflects the toll the absence of their father has created.

"I miss him so much. I don't want to miss another birthday without him..." Rebekka said. "Why does our daddy need to be in prison for loving Jesus?"

Jacob said, "My heart cries because it misses Daddy...It's crying right now."

A message to viewers also appears in the video which reads, “Help this message reach the White House. Share this video.”

To commemorate the second anniversary of Abedini’s imprisonment, the pastor’s supporters have organized a nationwide prayer vigil on Sept. 26, according to the NY Daily News.
