The Tebow CURE Hospital celebrated its grand opening this month in Davao City, Philippines. The charitable hospital was opened by the Tim Tebow Foundation and specializes in pediatric orthopedics.

Christian Today reports that the hospital conducted its first surgery last December.

CURE International President and CEO Dale Brantner said, "We've been looking forward to this day for a long time. After many years of prayer and much hard work, I am thrilled to be able to say the Tebow CURE Hospital is officially open! In this place, we will share the love of Jesus and bring physical healing to children and families who desperately need it."

The hospital’s executive director Leron Lehman said that the Tebow CURE hospital has already made an impact on the community.

"We are already providing life-changing surgeries to children with physical disabilities and are excited about the opportunity we have to make a difference," Lehman said.

Tebow, who was born in the Philippines, expressed his gratitude to be able to help poverty-stricken children and families in the region.

"I'm excited to be a part of this hospital that will bring physical and spiritual healing to thousands of children who would not otherwise have access to care," he said.
