A Wisconsin man got tired of seeing billboards advertising adult stores near his home, so he decided to take action.

Life Site News reports that Jim Guell, a 73-year-old retired insurance broker who lives in a mobile home park north of Fond du Lac, has to drive past several large billboards on Highway 41 advertising adult stores every time he drives home.

“I got tired of seeing those advertisements, those boards, every time I came home," Guell told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. "I look out the window of my home and they're lit at night and I thought, I've got to combat this some way."

Guell says he struggled with pornagraphy as a young man, so he knows how destructive it can be. 

Guell teamed up with the Knights of Columbus, a Catholic fraternal association of which he is a part, and the group Morality in Media (MIM) to raise funds and design a billboard to counter the other billboards being displayed.

MIM designed a billboard which reads, “Porn Destroys Love” and “What would Jesus say about pornography?” and the Knights of Columbus raised $6,000 to rent the billboard for six months.

The line of billboards on the highway now reads, in order, “Horicon bank,” “Lion’s Den Adult Superstore,” “Got God?,” “What would Jesus say about pornography?/Porn Destroys Love,” “Lion’s Den Adult Superstore,” “Xcite, Xcite, Xcite,” and “Lion’s Den Adult Superstore.”

People are taking notice of the new billboard and have mentioned it to Guell who hopes it will make a difference.
