Devotionals Daily: A Year with Jesus

From Jesus Calling for Kids by Sarah Young

Weak and Weary

I will give rest and strength to those who are weak and tired. Jeremiah 31:25 (ICB)

Some days you just don’t feel good. You didn’t get enough sleep, you feel a cold coming on, or maybe you overdid it a little yesterday.

When your body is feeling tired and weak, that is when you need Me the most. Your defenses are down, and the devil is just waiting to trip you up. You’re so tired, he tricks you into saying words you never meant to say—like smarting off to your mom or dad. And when you’re weak, he talks you into taking shortcuts that are bad for you—like borrowing a friend’s homework to copy.

When you feel weak and weary, don’t give up or give in. Come to Me. Ask for an extra dose of My Strength. Ask Me to protect you from Satan’s attacks. And if you’ve already fallen into one of the evil one’s traps, call out to Me. I’ll pull you out of the trap and help you through the day

Read on Your Own:  Psalms 42:5 ;  2 Corinthians 13:4
