There are billions of stories unfolding in this world. What a joy it will be to trace these threads, these stories, to see how they are interwoven, and to praise God for his mercy and his grace in and through each one.
Only one job in the world requires expertise in, well, everything. We expect our pastor to be an expert on any pressing issue in our lives.

Every Valentine’s Day the world fairly explodes with flowers, chocolate and the color pink. If love is abundant in your life, those trappings can be a joyful reminder. But for the lonely it can make for a long, difficult day.
Unless the faith of preachers is in Christ alone–-and not in any other person, ecclesiastical institution, theological system, moral prescription, or master recipe for human loveliness–they will be of very little use in the pulpit.
We all feel lonely at times, we all feel insignificant or unseen. And the beauty of Valentine's Day in my book is that we are reminded to take the time to make someone else know that they are seen.
The obvious, but often overlooked, answer is ... the author.
