Chick-fil-A and Culture Wars

Chick-fil-A is the latest entrant in the culture wars. The president of the company donates to conservative causes and said openly he believes in traditional marriage. That got the attention of the gay rights crowd. They called for a boycott of the fast food chain that closes on Sundays. And that got the attention of conservatives, including former presidential candidate Mike Huckabee, who has called for all Christians to eat at Chick-fil-A on August 1 to support the company.
The same-sex marriage crowd wants to promote tolerance, but not for Christians and opposite-sex marriage. Buying sandwiches at Chick-fil-A won't solidify opposite-sex marriage. Have you checked the number of Christians who are getting divorced and the cohabitation rate?
The world is going the way Jesus and Paul and the prophets said it would. Eating or not eating at Chick-fil-A won't change that. Support the restaurant on August 1 if you like, but don't look for any improvement in marriage fidelity.
