Season 20 of American Idol was one to remember, with incredible talent, angelic voices, and touching performances. The show has produced some of the biggest names in the music industry, including Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson, the season 1 winner. The latest season premiered on February 27 and had its grand finale on May 22, where the winner was finally named. The top three contestants were Leah Marlene and country singers Noah Thompson and Huntergirl, but in the end, Noah won the vote.

The twenty-year-old Kentucky singer worked in construction and was reluctant to audition for the show. In his introduction video, he explains that he never believed in himself, but his family and coworkers did. His best friend Arthur recognized Noah's talent and encouraged him to submit an audition video. Who would have guessed that he would go on to win the season! Noah sang well-known songs like "Stay" by Rihanna and "I'm on Fire" by Bruce Springsteen but stood out for his original "One Day Tonight."

For the beloved "Disney Night," Noah chose to take on "You've Got a Friend in Me" by Randy Newman. He dedicated the performance to his friend Arthur, who traveled to California to cheer him on. Fans were quick to highlight their friendship, with one viewer commenting, "Everyone needs more friends like him! Imagine how far everyone would be!" Another said, "You can tell by just looking at his friend that he is the kind of person that you want in your corner. This one actually made me tear up a bit."

What a beautiful picture of true friendship and the ability we have to encourage each other and come alongside one another!

"Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!" Psalm 133:1

"One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother." Proverbs 18:24
