{{Kirk Franklin}}'s megahit, "Lean On Me" from ==The Nu Nation Project==, has been nominated in the Song Of The Year category for this year's Grammy Awards by the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences. Franklin, who recorded his own song along with {{Crystal Lewis}} and a trio of mainstream artists (Mary J. Blige, R. Kelly and Bono), is nominated in this prestigious category along with songs from Shania Twain and Celine Dion and soundtrack cuts from City of Angels and Armageddon.

The nominations for the 1999 Grammy Awards were announced Tuesday, January 5th in Beverly Hills, California. The 41st Annual Grammy Awards will be broadcast live on CBS (in the United States) from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on February 24th at 8 pm (EST).
