{{Steven Curtis Chapman}} might have been truly speechless Wednesday night as he was recognized with another Grammy Award during annual ceremonies in Los Angeles. Chapman joined three other Christian solo artists and two groups in receiving honors as the annual recognition of recording artists.

Chapman received the Grammy for the year's top pop/contemporary gospel album for his June release ==Speechless==. Known as "Mr. Doves" for the countless awards he has received in the annual Gospel Music Association recognition of Christian musicians, Chapman will to again add to his trophy cabinet at his suburban Nashville home.

{{Rebecca St. James}}, who was recognized as one of the most influential young leaders in the church last year, received the Grammy for top rock gospel album for her project ==Pray==.

Gospel veteran {{Shirley Caesar}} received the nod for top traditional soul gospel album for her ==Christmas with Shirley Caesar== project. Recognized last year with a "60 Minutes" television feature, Caesar is well-known throughout the world for her musical ministry.

Caesar's younger counterpart {{Yolanda Adams}} was chosen in the contemporary soul gospel category for her new ==Mountain High, Valley Low== project.

{{Bill Gaither}}'s Homecoming gang was honored for the Grammy for best Southern/Country/Bluegrass Gospel project for their summer Kennedy Center Homecoming project. Staying among the leaders on the Billboard Video chart for a significant number of weeks, this project combined the Homecoming tradition of southern gospel along with some inspirational and patriotic music that would come from the performance taped in the U.S. Capital.

{{Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir}} was chosen as the top performer in the Gospel Album by Choir or Chorus category for its ==High & Lifted Up== project.

Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder was also awarded a win for their Ancient Tones project as Best Bluegrass Album.
