Abundance, Not Scarcity
by Rick Boxx

An acquaintance named Jeff attended a church service where the head of a nonprofit spoke about his ministry. Throughout this leader's talk he belittled other ministries that had a similar mission.

After the service, Jeff had an opportunity to challenge this leader about his denigration of other ministries. The ministry leader replied that he believed people had limited funds to donate to ministry. Therefore, he wanted to make sure they gave to his, instead of to "competing" organizations.

Many leaders have a "scarcity" mindset believing that God's resources are limited. Proverbs 11:24 teaches, "One man gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty."

Whether you're in business, or ministry, remember to bless others rather than curse them. God has enough to go around.
