. . . being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. (Philippians 1:6)
Paul is confident that God will not permit His good work of transforming, qualifying grace to remain unfinished in the lives of the Philippians. Despite his distress in a Roman prison, he sends them this message of cheer: you are a work in progress. We too need to remind ourselves to continually place our trust in the one in whom we can say, “[B]eing confident in this very thing. . .” Indeed, we can trust in the God who gives our lives worth.
In Living in the In-Between Times, Pastor Ralph Douglas West brings the story of the Old Testament prophet Samuel to life, showing you how God speaks in your “in betweens” and what it looks like to live faithfully in these seasons of waiting and wondering.
