Why should it be an option at all to kill an unborn child?

I agree that abortion is a sad thing. And I'm disgusted about what is going on in China. But this paranoia is worse than lying. Please, just because a totalitarian regime like China is culturally doing this... it doesn't mean it applies to USA. I mean, we in the West don't command woman to abort, nor even make it attractive to do so. We just leave the option open. No one is forcing women to abort, and that's plausible, on the other hand, you believe we shouldn't let anyone abort. So, who is being extreme? There is a big difference between prohibiting everyone to do something, than leave the option hanging... and that's what annoys me.
