Mohler conveniently forgets that all of the major European powers employed state sanctioned piracy during the 17th and 18th centuries. American privateers were an instrumental force in harassing British merchantmen during our Revolutionary war. Christian businessmen have proven just as capable as Muslims at making a living from piracy when the economics of the day made it profitable.
