Does it ever rain In Texas?

A visitor to Texas once asked, "Does it ever rain out here?"

A rancher quickly answered, "Yes, it does."

"When?" asked the visitor.

"Do you remember that part in the Bible where it rained for 40 days and 40 nights?"

The visitor replied, "Yes, I'm familiar with Noah's flood."

"Well," the rancher puffed up, "we got about half an inch that time."

You know, as a resident of a place in Harris County that was hit HARD by Hurricane Ike last September and has been affected by many other storms, whether a direct hit or not, I find this article very LAME and NOT FUNNY AT ALL! One of the worst days of my life, yes right here in TEXAS, was right after the landfall of Erin on 8-16-07 when I got about 18 inches of murky water in my beautiful little Cavalier that suffered a bent rod in its engine and had to have its jute replaced because of this flooding. This "joke" is an insult to all the Texans who have died in various floods, hurricanes, and other severe storms, which numbers in the thousands just from the hurricane that struck Galveson in 1900 and retains the title of "the worst natural disaster in American history" to this day! It is also noteworthy that the only tropical storm to have had its name retired was Allison because of what she did to Houston in 2001, so this joke is NOT funny and I can't believe it's on a "Christian" site.
