Terror Plot against JFK

Cal Thomas

Syndicated Columnist

June 5, 2007

The alleged terror plot against JFK airport in New York is the “tip of the iceberg” of terrorist plots against America, according to U.S. officials.

Should anyone be surprised that the Islamists are serious in their threats to attack the United States and U.S. citizens anywhere they can? And the Islamists are not limiting their efforts to the u.s. alone. A British national is said to be among the Jihadists killed in Somalia by an American missile. Newsreaders in Gaza are receiving death threats because they wear makeup and are women. Mercenaries are pouring into Iraq in search of security contracts. Lebanon is shelling al-Qaeda suspects in a Palestinian refugee camp.

Truly this is a world war. In Britain, incoming Prime Minister Gordon Brown has promised tougher laws to fight terrorism, including an extension beyond 28 days when police may hold a terror suspect without charge.

The real problem, though, is that we are letting too many Muslims into our countries where they build their mosques and demand we bow to their every whim lest they become radicalized. Too many are already radicalized and are using our freedoms to bring us down. Unfortunately, too many of us don’t get it.
