The characterization of the separation wall as a "security barrier" dividing Israel from Palestinian controlled areas is rather dishonest, considering that it snakes through the occupied territories stealing land and water from Palestinians for the sake of illegal Israeli settlers.
The separation wall does indeed block the way for Palestinians who would like to visit Bethlehem from Jerusalem. All the Israel-firsters Stahl quoted hate this artist's nativity scene because it honestly shows the ugly reality on the ground - something they want to obfuscate and cover up.
