"obscure passage in Romans"??

Romans 1:26,27 "For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet."

I'm not going to try to "engage in this conversation" as the Southern Baptist Convention has suggested. It's evil. Obama's wrong. Anyone that believes the Bible should see the obvious attempt to use (or rather confuse) Scripture to support (or at least, NOT condemn) their immoral, devilish beliefs. Romans chapter 1 is quite clear. (By the way, I believe AIDS to be the modern-day "recompense of their error.")

It really is hard to believe how deep has this great nation fallen & continues to fall...a nation founded on christian values and blessed by God like no other nation in the history of humanity...Here we find ourselves with candidates who simply put, do not believe that the "fear of the LORD is the begining of wisdom"...As for Mr. Obama's christian faith & his position on abortion and the gay's rights, etc...it seems to me that he is just twisting our Lords teachings...and that's a greater sin!
God help us all!

None of the three front runners for the presidency, uphold Christian beliefs. Are we, as Christians, then, to refuse to vote in this next presidential election?

If you listen to his qualifications of why he is a Christian, it's the old works vs. faith mentality. Never does he mention a "born-again" experience with Christ. He is sadly what is present in many chuches, a "cultural Christian." He belongs to the same church for 20 years, prays to Jesus every night, goes to church as much as he can. I don't see those conditions to be a Christian lining up with what Jesus said in John 3:3.
There are three things you will notice about a biblical Christian:1)A testimony and a willingness to share it. 2)A changed life, with new thoughts and desires. 3)A heart for the lost. Do you see that or hear that in Mr. Obama?

Has there ever been a time in history where we are such devoid of world leaders? Obama needs to go into a room by himself with his Bible and read and reread the Sermon on the Mount without any pre-election motivations. How a Christian can validate homosexuality via the Sermon on the Mount is beyond me. Just like God who loves the sinner but hates sin, we ought to love the homosexual but hate homosexuality. Either take a stand for Biblical doctrine as a Christian or check your profession in Christ and go to the cross for the forgiveness of sin. As a Canadian I will be praying for the U.S. and their presidential election. Tigerhab.

Blessings...
I am just sitting here after reading this article and wondering in absolute amazement how a devout christian can be in favor of same sex unions and abortion???

Is he just showing his true colors? Why not state these feelings before??

I truly believe Mr Obama needs to have a new encounter with JEsus, before it's too late!

The question is: how do we vote in an election where all three front runners have the very same point-of-view on issues that oppose Christian beliefs? It is absolutely no secret that McCain and Clinton also hold Obama's point-of-views on abortion and homosexuality. Both McCain and Clinton are known liberals. Though McCain and Clinton have been craftily quiet about their views on abortion and homosexuality, it is no secret where they stand. So, again, the question is: how do you vote in an election where all the front runners are liberal? Do we vote for the person who honestly tells you how he feels or do you vote for the person who is crafty enough to avoid addressing the issue? Do we vote for the man who has been faithful to his wife or do we vote for the man who has been surrounded by charges of infidility with both wife #1 and wife #2? Do we vote for the man who can keep his cool under stress or do we vote for the man or woman who have been known to lose their temper under stress?

Who may I ask in this whole campaign is righteous and pure enough to please God without the saving grace of Jesus Christ? None--- that includes every soul on this earth. Why are the so-called “righteous” Christians quick to condemn other Christians when they aren’t exactly lined up to their way of thinking or doctrine of faith? The Bible instructs us to help build up our brothers who are weak in the faith and help instruct those who have not right understanding---not to tear them down. Abortion and gay marriage aren’t right but they are not the only sins, they are the product of man’s sin nature. Christians are called to minister to the lost in order to help change minds and turn hearts towards God. If we were truly doing what God has called us to do, instead of hating, these type of things would eventually not exist. Worldly pleasures, abortion and homosexually surely won’t exist when Christ returns. Who here can truly say they don’t have sins of omission and those of commission.

The man is confused and is being used by the devil. he's a lying "wonder," and I shudder to think of the abuse of power by this ungodly man should he become elected to the office of president. But this is the kind of person career politicians and sheeple want. I wonder from which Bible does he get his twisted, outlandish "opinions"? And why is homosexuality becoming increasingly popular these past few years?
