Why is so bad to print that the school referenced trains terrorists? I quick review of the school's graduates would confirm as much.

It is sad that a "Christian" website is attacking a church.

While I do believe that every election has spiritual forces, I also think there are practical ones. Sen. Obama just isn't electable because of his association with so many destructive people. Mainstream Americans get uneasy when they hear too many angry voices. One of Ronald Reagan's most endearing qualities was his wonderful positive tone. If John Kerry could have imitated him, he would be president, today. For that matter, so would Al Gore.

The Church of Jesus Christ is supposed to be about the search for and defense of the truth. Why wouldn't a church congregation be willing to defend and stand behind what it says in its bulletin, on its website, and especially what issues from its pulpit? "Always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you ...." (I Peter 3:15). Like it or not, membership in a church body indicates support for the public words and actions of the leadership (absent timely dissent or corrective action). The notion that one can serve on a spiritual advisory committee (as the Rev. Wright did for Sen. Obama) and not be a spiritual advisor is not believable. Courage and leadership don't wait until something wrong becomes controversial to disown it.

To Revduggan, I understand your frustration and I agree that all church bulletins should be subject to scrutiny.. the difference is that Obama is running for President and he has publically reiterated his committment to his church. Therefore the political stand of his church is fair game for any media to quote. I would hope that if McCain or Clinton were public about affiliating with a particular church that the church's political views would be a factor in determining whether I am comfortable supporting said candidate.
If the leadership of Trinity church is allowed their political commentary then why is it offensive for a news article to quote it? Don't give up on crosswalk for reporting facts.

Good info again and information that ANY Christian who votes for Christ and not a Presidential Candidate would welcome.

Vote God for the 2008 Election and what he stands for and not our own selfish needs and wants!!

God Bless Crosswalk and all their readers...

I do not know your affiliation with crosswalk.com, or your religious affiliation (if any) but I am disappointed, apalled and angered by your article.

This is America, and we are blessed to be in a country where we are free to express our views. But how dare a Christian website single out a particular church, and a church bulletin, no less, as a topic to write about.

This would be fine if each week, or each month, or even each decade, this site would choose to crtique bulletins or points of view of all kinds of churches and their leaders. How about an analysis of a bulletin of Pat Robertson's church or Rev. Hagey's church? How about an analysis of a bulletin of churches with pastors who consistently support Conservative and/or Republican candidates and/or policies, as if all Conservative and/or Republican policies are the only policies that Christians can be supportive of.

This is may cause me to never use this site again, and to tell every believer I know to boycott it.
