The Baby No One Loved

Some people may be growing weary trying to stop, or at least curtail, the number of abortions in America. I’m not. The number has shrunk, thanks to pregnancy centers and efforts by many pro-lifers to tell the truth to women.

Consider this story from last week’s Washington Post. In Prince George’s county, Maryland, a funeral service was held for a newborn found alive in a trash bag. She died. County officials gave her a name, a casket and a service. She was called “the baby no one loved.” She wasn’t the first.

If the mother had chosen to kill the baby as she emerged from the birth canal, it would have been legal and no service would have been held. What was the difference between the baby emerging from the womb and the baby in the trash bag? We are told the woman’s intention is what matters. If she intended to kill the child, what’s the difference between killing her through a partial birth abortion and killing her by abandonment in a trash bag?

These are stories that must be told to shame those who will not stop this grisly procedure.
