Obama: Heading Straight for the Disaster Zone

Cal Thomas

Syndicated Columnist

June 9, 2009

President Obama says we are in a deeper recession than originally thought. He blames the Bush administration, but how much longer is that going to fly with the public?

It is the Obama administration that is borrowing and spending as if there is no tomorrow. It is the Obama administration that promised $50 billion would save GM and Chrysler, but it didn’t. It is the Obama administration that says we need another stimulus bill when the first one didn’t work. He has instructed cabinet agencies to hire more people, or save jobs. But whatever new jobs may be created won’t last. When the money runs out they will return to unemployment.

Next, Obama wants to transform the health care of the country and he’ll pay for it by taxing the productive, taxing business who will layoff workers to pay for it and taxing anything else he can push through.

This administration is becoming a disaster. Not all Democrats are liberals. The fiscally responsible among them must speak out and stop this march to socialism. They’d better do it soon.

Disaster no. As for the Bush administration yes they did put us in this problem.

The reason is why Obama keep on saying that Bush did it is because people want a quick fix. People are angry and afraid of the future. They have lost confidence and trust in our government.

Now as for the health care Bush had 8 years try to fix it. He did nothing. Now Obama is trying to help 47 million people who don't have it.

The republican party is in kaos. They are making noise about Obama but have no solutions how to fix anything. The republican party needs to keep quiet.

I am a republican. But I voted for Obama. Just like the other states which has been voting republican for 40 years or more voted for Obama.

In closing, Let us see in four years how Obama is doing and our country is doing. Then we can decided if Obama is heading for disater.
