In their continuing and never-ending quest for more of our money, Congress is now considering a 10 percent tax on cosmetic surgery. It would be applied to such things as hair transplants, tummy tucks and face-lifts. All plastic and cosmetic surgery procedures that are not medically necessary or reconstructive following an accident or surgery would be subject to the proposed tax. In other words, a vanity tax.

I wonder how Speaker Nancy Pelosi feels about this? It is clear she has had at least one facelift, and a bad one at that. And how about Vice President Joe Biden, who had a hair transplant before the procedure was improved?

I have said this before. The focus is on the wrong end. Congress should not be telling us how much of the money we earn they will allow us to keep. We voters should be telling Congress how much of the money we earn we will allow them to spend.

Government never has enough of our money, but they never ask if we have enough. This will only stop when we stop them. How many months is it until the next election?
