Furthermore, I find this statement particularly troubling- "Romney showed integrity and courage by refusing to water down his commitment to the Mormon religion." You mean his false religion??? Using such logic, I guess Grudem would support Tom Cruise for his commitment to Scientology in the same way.
Romney may be a good candidate if there were no other qualified evangelical Christians in the field. That is not the case, and thus I think Grudem's support for a Mormon candidate, when clearly we have qualified evangelical candidate is misplaced at best.
