DonJon if Christians were half as concerned with their own families as they were the "gay agenda" maybe the divorce rate within Christian marriages wouldn't be 50%. Working in public schools I can tell you divorce is what is tearing the moral fabric of this nation apart. Kids living in split families never getting to see their dads it's horrible...and it's a huge problem within the chuch. Jesus says if you divorce and remarry with the exception of adultery you are an adulterer. Is adultery not a type of fornication? Fornication is listed with homosexuality in 1 Cor 6:9. Where is the outrage about that? Why are we not trying to ban 2nd marriages? There is no outrage do you know why? Because divorce is a sin many in the church struggle with and we wouldn't want to hurt the tithes. The reason there is such outrage against the gay community is because it's easy to judge a sin we don't struggle with. Jesus wants all men to be saved and its not your job to differentiate peoples sins

are the Lord's qualities and only the Lord deserves the Glory. EVERYTHING else we do ,we do in the flesh, and it comes from the same source, satan, only in different forms. ie:,drugs, alcohol, lying, stealing, murder, strife, adultery, greed, idolatry, malice, unfaithfulness, unforgiveness, jealousy, rage and the list goes on and on. So stay close to the vine, John15:5,"I am th vine, you are the branches, he who abides in me and I in him, will produce much fruit, APART from me, you can do NOTHING". By the grace of the Good Lord, my love and prayers to all.

Thank you Lord for the opportunity to post this message. We are all forgetting that we were created in Gods image. That means anything and everything that Satan can use to distort God's word he will, because God is the word. ALL sin is against God. ROm6:23for the wages of SIN, is death, but the gift of God is eternal life, through Christ Jesus" one sin no matter how trivial can send us to hell and separate us from the Lord forever, only Jesus can change us, by the power of the Holy Spirit, it is virtually, humanly impossible to change anything, (at least anything that means anything) remember, if the house isn't built on the rock, it will not stand, all other ground is sinking sand, and Jesus is the rock. My prayers to all, Jesus didn't give you those lustful desires, if you ask and truly want the change, Jesus will make the change. All sexual immorality is a sin. Love, Joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, happiness, faithfulness and self-control continue

All this talk about "all sin is the same" is ridiculous. The Bible doesn't say that. While all sin is rebellion against God, all sin is NOT equal. There are different consequences for sin. Here are a few of the many of examples I could site.

For example, those who commit the sin of unforgiveness are unable to receive forgiveness from God for their own sins (Matthew 6:14,15; 18:23–35)

anyone who commits blasphemy of the Holy Spirit cannot be forgiven (Matthew 12:31,32).

Keep on running away from sexual immorality. Any other sin that a person commits is outside his body, but the person who sins sexually sins against his own body.(1 Cor. 6:18)

Here is why homosexuality is such a hot button topic: Because the gay agenda is to force their lifestyle on everyone else. They are the biggest lobbying group in the country. If murders, rapists, and child molestors were lobbying that we should accept their lifestyle the outrage would be similar.

Part 3

For an something written on a Christian website, the main article is amazingly accurate and the author is to be commended. How sad, then that the responses are just more "Christian doctrinal gibberish."

As yourself these questions:
1. Have you actually studied these verses you quote in the original Greek? How about simple study in English? For example the word translated "homosexual" in the NIV is translated as "fornicators", "effeminate", and "immoral" in other English translations. Which one is correct?

Or how about the Greek:

αρσενοκοιται noun - nominative plural masculine
arsenokoites ar-sen-ok-oy'-tace: a sodomite -- abuser of (that defile) self with mankind.

Now that's obviously a homosexual, right?

Whatever your thoughts, Christ didn't call us to judge anyone, and, in fact, explicitly tells us not to.

Gays, adulterers, liars, murderers, you and me are all welcome in God's familiy.

Actually, what you must be saying (since vs. 26-27 come after vs. 24, not before it) is that homosexuals have all been turned that way BY God because the met the criteria for vs. 18-23? Oh, but then there is that whole "God can tempt no man thing"!

Before you think that I'm just a gay activist who wants to water down the Word and confuse you with his dark philosophies, think again. I have been a Christian for 30 years, am an ordained minister, and have served God that whole time. I've also been married (to a woman!) for 28 years and have absolutely no desire or attraction toward men. So you can't just write me off.

We have got to stop twisting the scriptures to say what we want them to say. I posit that nothing is so absolutely clear that it gives us the right to judge anyone ourselves.

Here's a better verse to memorize: "For I did not come to judge the world, but to save it." John 12:47. If Jesus didn't come to judge the world then why do we??

"First off, yes, the Bible says that it's a sin."

This isn't a criticism of the person who wrote that. I've been a Christian now for over 30 years and there are a whole host of things that I was sure were sins at one time or another.

Here's a good one. Drinking alcohol is a sin...right up there with smoking. Except that the Bible calls neither of these sins.

I am constantly amazed at how we as Christians are so confident about what God considers and doesn't consider sin. It seems so clear.

"Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts." (Rom 1:24)

Yes. Because of this! Obviously this must mean homosexuality! Because it couldn't possibly be talking about the "godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth" (v 18) or those who "neither glorified him as God nor game thanks to him", who "claimed to be wise" and "exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals an reptiles" (v 23).

I believe this article is right on. First off, yes, the Bible says that it's a sin. But the Bible also says all sins are equal in the eyes of the Lord. It's no better or worse then any other sin. And we all sin. And maybe it's just me, but I struggle with sin. And I certainly don't begrudge anyone else their own struggles.

There is hope for those struggling. First you need to acknowledge and admit that its wrong, Psalm 51:2-4 says, "Oh, wash me, cleanse me from this guilt. Let me be pure again. For I admit my shameful deed—it haunts me day and night." Next, ask the Lord to forgive you of your sins and stop feeling guilty and truly believe that God will rid you of your sins, Psalm 51:7-12 says, "Sprinkle me with the cleansing blood and I shall be clean again. Wash me and I shall be whiter than snow. And after You have punished me, give me back my joy again. Don't keep looking at my sins—erase them from Your sight. Create in me a new, clean heart, O God, filled with clean thoughts and right desires. Don't toss me aside, banished forever from Your presence. Don't take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me again the joy of Your salvation, and make me willing to obey You." Last believe it and have no doubts, Psalm 32:1-6. God Bless!

Wow this is a touchy subject. There is hope for those who are struggling with homosexuality. In the Bible it states in Romans 1:26-27 "Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion." Also scritpture 1Corinthians 6:9 says, Don't you know that those doing such things have no share in the Kingdom of God? Don't fool yourselves. Those who live immoral lives, who are idol worshippers, adulterers or homosexuals—will have no share in his kingdom." This is just proof that homosexuality is wrong. Not trying to scare anyone but that's what God says. There is hope and with God there is always a way.

To the dad whose son just came out of the closet; I'm sorry. I know it has to be hard to see someone you love so much facing such a difficult issue. My heart goes out to you. I just want to encourage you and tell you not to worry. One of the most frequently used phrases in the Bible is fear not. Jesus doesn't want you to fear but trust Him. The father of the prodigal waited patiently for his son to return and I encourage you to do the same thing. Love him and support him as your son. Jesus has this situation under control and he works all things to the good for those who love him. Don't blame yourself my father and I had a great relationship and my homosexuality had nothing to do with him. If you would like to talk sometime perhaps we can find a way to IM online or something. You will be in my prayers.
