Sad to say I have walked in the same steps as the Gov. I have a family (of two) and a beautiful wife that should have left me many times but I'm happy to say that she did not. I'll also say that I love her more now (truly) than I ever have before. I will not make light of the actions by the Gov. & call for all of us to pray in earnest for healing, reconciliation & a family renewed by Christ. As only Christ can do.

"The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?" Jeremiah 17:9 I have found this true in my life many times. When we acknowledge the pain (ours & that inflicted) & listen for the soft whispers of love that Christ reveals to us, we can hear & know how to deal with our specific issues.

The hardest thing for me as a father was to walk away from my children, even if it was only half (more-like seventy-five percent) of the time. To have another man raise "my" children while I was alive was unthinkable... God Bless

THIS MAN NEEDS LOTS OF PRAYER AND IS COMPLETELY A LOST SOUL! IF HE LEFT HIS WIFE WHICH EMOTIONALLY HE DID HE IS GOING TO QUICKLY FIND OUT THE SINS HE COMMITTED COMES AT A VERY HIGH PRICE. IF HE DOES NOT REPENT AND CLEARLY HE HASN'T HE HAS NO IDEA WHAT IS AHEAD FOR HIM AND IT IS ONE LONG ROAD OF HEART ACHE THAT JUST DOES NOT ONLY AFFECT HIM! I FEEL VERY SADDENED FOR HIS WIFE AND SONS AND HE IS A VERY SELFISH MAN THAT CARES ONLY ABOUT HIMSELF!!!!!!!!!! I WILL PRAY FOR HIM AND HIS WIFE AND SONS AS WE ALL SHOULD.

David was known as a man after God's own heart. Therefore, his being exposed to sin would bring about a brokeness of heart as it pertains to sin. Today high profile public servants have a core group of personnel to help repair any damage done by them. This is only another mere attempt to do exactly that..."damage control." While all the while his disillussioned mind filled with pride and a sense of control will not have the last say. Jesus Christ is the ultimate judge. Unless Gov. Sanford bows and prays for forgiveness, he will surely fall.

We as Christians must also become less lamb-like and allow our God given minds to be stansformed by the Word aof God. We are not to swallow every line that comes down the river. Paul says we are a people of sound minds. Wghen are we gonna use it the way God intended, and stand for righteousness? That is our lot in this life. We need to stop hiding behind the Word of God and stand up for it. If God be for us, who can stand against us

I don't think that this is a matter of judging the Governor as as matter of recognizing the truth of the situation. The Governor of South Carolina got caught in an affair and admitted to it. After reading the article it sounds as if his only regret is getting caught! As to what the Governor should do I think that if I were a voting resident of South Carolina I would expect him to resign his office immediately. If he has betrayed his wife and family to this extent I wouldn't feel exactly 'warm and fuzzy' about what else he may do in his role as a public servant.

I'm no expert, but I think we have to be careful not to be so quick to judge no matter what the circumstances are. Before he is a Govenor, he is human. As a human he has to fight the battle between his flesh and his spiritual man which we ALL should know is a constant battle that any of us can fall victum to. I think in society we hold our athletes, actors/actresses and any other individual that is in the public eye on a pedestal as if they are immune to sin and the temptations of the devil and this world.

We also have to keep in mind that just like the couples of this world are under constant attack, so are the officials and anyone who can make a difference a change in the lives of others. Just because the media jumps on the attack, we as christians should be able to understand and pray for this leader of ours because of his vulnerability and weakness, not condemn him. David confessed his sin but was able to stay with the women in question he didn't change how he felt about her
