I'm a little shocked by some of the comments posted earlier. It's been said the only difference between a Christian and the World is Christians kill their wounded. Instead of showing "love for one another," as the Lord commanded us to do, stones are being thrown and sadly children are in the direct line of fire. As forgiven sinners, we should be eager to reach out to the weaker of our brother and sisters. If not for the grace of God, it could be any one of us. Christians should show compassion without compromise. We are not asked to wallow in the mud, but we shouldn't be hesitant to help one of our own to rise out of the mess they're in and walk beside them as they take the next step back to a right relationship with the Lord. Did not the Lord say, "Beware the leaven of the Pharisees"? Let you without sin cast the first stone!

I have a very tough time believing whatever Sarah Palin tells the world. Yes it's true that she and her family took some "low blows" and personal attacks from both the press and the general public. But that's part of the deal when you go into politics in this country. It's a dirty business and she knew it going into it from the beginning. It's always easier to quit when the going gets tough, then to hang in there and take the heat and serve out the rest of a term. Real character is always shown by people who stand their ground and don't give an inch. Sarah Palin saw her poll numbers in Alaska dropping and she saw an opportunity to make a lot of money by writing a book and by giving speeches. I suspect that we will see her again sometime in the future.

Palin left because sexism is still rampant in American culture today. Basically, the "boys" didn't want Palin playing in politics because she is a girl. Same reason Hillary Clinton did not get elected as President. The truth is that a man would never, never be bashed in such an unprofessional manner, as Palin was for her family life and daughter's situation. She quit for the same reason that feminism is not taught in school and that women are an afterthought in history textbooks across this country... sexism and the old fashioned idea that women belong in the kitchen barefoot and pregnant need to end... it is so sad that even now, in 2009 we cannot have a woman vice president or president because our country is still so oppressive to 1/2 of it's members....

Palin quite because she is a quitter. She is all hot air and no substance. The sad truth is that she has lied about how much the ethics investigations has cost the state of Alaska. They were staff attorneys and would have been paid anyway. She also quit before her term ended. Anyone who got suckered by her is very foolish.

I am sorry to say but Mrs. Palin put up with alot more bull from the American people(and parties)than I could have. There comes a time, and face it people it's now, when things just are not everybodies business. Let this poor family have some much earned and deserved rest. People in this country think they have to know everything about everybody all the time whether it is true or false. Sometimes I feel in general people put "gossip" and "rumors"ect.....in front of God. That is so disrespectfull on so many levels!

It saddened me to hear they way her daughter was talked about when it was found out that she was pregnant. It appears that many, many people in this country of ours is without sin, because many cast stones at her! Sad they all have such short memories about their own sins, isn't it? I wonder how many splinters they had to remove from their own eyes in order to see her sin and put their 2cents worth into stoning her. Most of all they all forgot that Jesus came for all sinners. We all are sinners and unworthy of the ramsom that Jesus paid for us by giving up His own life to pay for our sins. Did they also forget that God forms every person in their mothers womb? Or do they think that somehow this was bypassed by God because this baby was concieved out of wedlock? I myself believe that sex should be saved for marriage and all should abstain from it till then. Morals have dissappeared from this world now. But children, must have a firm foundation of God. And put God first."He without sin."

I think the article is right on target!!I realize you cannot say bad things about the slanderous people who slaughtered this beautiful, talented, Christian woman , who could also stand up to Washington bureaucrats...but ,I would like to say they are more despicable than satan himself!! Her Lord vindicates her everytime she breathes!! GOD BLESS HER AND I PRAY, WHATEVER SHE CHOOSES TO DO WILL KNOCK THE SOCKS OFF EVERYONE!! I know it impresses
GOD already to see her commitment, courage and devotion! He is the only one that matters....... JESUS CHRIST, ALMIGHTY GOD!!
This article points out very succintly that the people who have criticized her are cowards and hide behind children! They will be giving an answer for every evil deed,Matthew 12:36-37 and every child of God they have harmed or injured. Their bravado will not be seen at that time.......THE FOOL HATH SAID IN HIS HEART THERE IS NO GOD Psalm 14:1............SOON AND AND VERY SOON THEY WILL MEET HIM!Revelation 22:16-21 AMEN

McCain could have fired his subordinate campaign staff members when they stabbed Palin behind her back,...but he didn't.

McCain could have confronted his Senate counter part John Kerry, when he slammed Palin,...but he didn't.

McCain as well as, Mike Steele, and just about any other Republican leader could have stood in the gap for her,.. but were apallingly silent.

They could have easily called a few of their benefactors and quickly covered all legal fees and even launched a few counter suits of their own. Instead she was hung out to dry.

The difference between the two parties is stridently stark. Democrats circle the wagons. Establishment Republicans turn tail and leave their conservative partners to the vultures. And now it's time for the "big tent but religious conservatives can sit in the back of the bus" Republican party to die out by the cowardly death it deserves.

Her resignations shows she knows where she stands & where her priorities are. She's fought courageously & will continue to fight for the right cause. Right now, she's fighting & protecting for her family.
And the reason the media scrutinize her in such a way only proves that they FEAR her!

Despite Palin's stand for family values, I hope that she doesn't become the face and voice of the traditional values in the US.

She quit a job that she promised to do as governor, breaking a simple commmitment to serve the people of her state for four years. Sure she'd be out of the limelight being in Alaska for another couple of years, but she needed much more intellectual development and government experience before becoming a serious candidate for national office or a national spokesperson for family values and conservative government.

Public officials that show humility rather than overarching ambition, impatience, and over-confidence in themselves strike me as the type of leaders we need in America right now, and Sarah Palin, despite her on-camera charisma and star power, is not that type of leader.
