I respect the authors beliefs, though I would encourage the author to verify their information before reporting things as fact.
For example:
"Mormon Church, formally known as the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints"
Mormon is a slang name for a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The name of the church has not changed. The slang name was given by those outside of the LDS faith.

"humans can achieve godhood by joining the church and taking part in specific deeds and ceremonies"
This statement is not true in many ways.
"Mormons" believe in "eternal progression", meaning never-ending learning and personal growth, when done in a way prescribed by God, allows people to 'grow up' to be like their Heavenly Father.
Someone doesn't even have to be a member of the "Mormon" church, in this life, for this to happen.

There are more. But I think you get the point.
