It saddens my heart to see people put blame on Christians for not letting this gentlemen in. No person should have been hurt over this. It saddens my heart as well to understand in this day and age we need to protect our choice to serve God by carrying a weapon on Holy ground. I wonder as a Christian at what point and time in the United States we have removed God as much as possible from everything. Could this be be the reason we are looking at so much violence in our Country. It is hard to find Peace and Joy in this season, the most beautiful of times if you look at why we celebrate it. The birth of Jesus Christ a man of peace. When will we see that we need to forget about the gifts, the jolly red Santa and return to the beginning when our fore fathers brought fourth a country founded on God and the Bible. It would just stop so much the flow of tears for victims in this country. I am truly sorry for the victims and their families.

No reason to "yell" at anyone. :) I think my point got lost somehow. I'm not blaming anyone nor did I say that-there are questions and if's in my note. My point was about the general media-certainly not Crosswalk specifically. I'm sure there's more to the story about why they didn't let him stay, but we don't know that from the limited info provided in this article-it said they wouldn't let him stay & that's the end of it. I think non-believers or skeptics are turned off the minute they read anything like this & they make all kinds of assumptions. You & I are trying to fill in blanks too. They probably make the wrong assumptions because they look for any negative comments. Combined with the negative stories on television about "fallen Christians" (which is pretty much all you see), this doesn't help our cause. Ideally we'd first read more about the compassion they really had & more about what really happened. I'm on the same team here. I feel for those people-I just want to know more.

In times like these (which unfortunately we will see more of this in the world) we need to make sure that we as the Body of Christ are built up in our most Holy Faith. That our faith is not shaken because the enemy has "seemed to cross over into our territory"... we are called as the family of God to bear one another's burden's and go through with our brothers and sisters as if we were going through ourselves... so let's be their strength (those who went through this sad time not only in Colorado, but in Nebraska) and bear up under them to keep them strong by keeping them before God in prayer and in our hearts.

Just because these people didn't let him in to sleep, does that mean they are NOT Christians? NO! Does it mean they didn't like him? NO! If you walk in the Holy Spirit, then I am sure you are guided by the Holy Spirit, therefore, maybe the Holy Spirit told him NO!

Why is it that everytime something happens to good people, others find a way to blame them because they were not manipulated? Shame on you!

I want to know more about why they didn't let him stay. Is there more to that? This could have been an opportunity to show God's love to someone who really needed it. If they were going to be there all night & just didn't want him there, that's not right.
Just to read that they told him he couldn't stay is one of the many things people see in the media that turn people off to religion, and make people "hate" Christians. This shouldn't have happened. Too bad most non-believers only get to see what the media puts out there - portraying Christians as a bunch of hypocrites. This saddens me.

Jesus said we would suffer persecution in His Name.

I don't know whether it is more tragic that a church in the United States finds it necessary to have armed security guards, or that they actually have armed guards.
