Hello. I found the link with the transcript, and apparently a film clip of the speech. http://www.wtap.com/home/headlines/16161977.html

I am anti-gay marriage, no matter how pretty they make it sound (Same-Sex Unions). Additionally, I am strongly against Obama - not as a man and not as a Christian, but due to political differences. The notion that he would have said what is in this article is appalling and reeks of blasphemy.
Before I forwarded this article to my friends, however, I researched the television station from which the quote is sited, in order that I may include the confirming transcript and/or audio clip concerning this story. Unfortunately, the website for the TV station referred to within the story (WTAP) contains no such article.

If anyone has access to said information, please make it available. This terrific CrossWalk article, when combined with confirming evidential arguments, will be great tools as we attempt influencing others – Christian and non-Christian alike - to NOT vote for Senator Obama; without the corroborating evidence, it's a matter of he said/she said.

Thanks & God Speed!

There are Christians that follow Gods word, and there are some who make up their own rules and say they are following Gods word? personally I'm not voting as a uk citizen, but i think that Obama is trying to please all voters for his own rise to power! I'm pleased that Jesus pleased his Father, and we should imitate Him.

This man is clearly confused! I don't think he even knows what he believes and is grasping at words with the intent to please itching ears!! The Bible warns of people with itching ears, decieved into believing a lie. Hey confusion is of the devil!!!!! I question his underlying motivation!! People wake up and know why you believe what you believe and stop depending on others to spoon feed you.God is alive and real and if you search His truth you will see the falicy in Obama's so called truth.

Hey while I'm at this a must read for U.S. citizen and esp. Christians "Because They Hate" by Brigitte Gabriel. A survivor of Islamic terror warns America. Before you decide whom you will vote for and I must caution you that this book may be hard to find!! Pursue it,you will find it's worth the trouble to find and read. You will never look at 9/11 or terrorisum the same and you'll think twice about who you want to take control of our Goverment!!!!!!!!!!!! America Wakeup!!!

30 years ago gay marriage/civil union would of had no support & now it does. Does Barack support the bisexual community for marriage/unions of multiples with full goverment benefits?

Man was not created for man and woman was not created for woman. It is only the joining of man and woman through the union of marriage that bears good fruit.

From man God formed woman and the two are to become one with God. It is only by the engaging of man and woman through the union of marriage that life can come forth.

Life is truly the most precious gift and each soul has a destination.

When you see people choosing to kill Our Lord's innocent ones and many living in sin you are seeing the power of the evil one.

This world is living in such sin and the greatest sin is abortion, because it does not allow the soul to fulfill its mission and it is man’s desire to control the life that the God brings forth.

Many of people will be mourning the loss of their loved ones yet who mourns the lost of my millions of innocent ones who are killed everyday.

America, you state you are a country of opportunity and freedom, then why do you not give my little innocent ones the opportunity to come into this world, and the freedom to live and fulfill their mission?

Mr. Obama,

Pray for you I must.

Vote for you I must not.

And if this is the best of your understanding of Scripture, kindly do not speak.

As an African American and a Christian myself I wholeheartedly disagree with Mr. Obama about the Sermon on the Mount condoning Same Sex Marriages and I really appreciate his view but his facts are out of context. Either the whole word of GOD is truth or its a lie. There is not in between, no middle ground, It IS or It ISN'T and to say that Roman doctrine about homosexual marriage is out-dated is totally false. When God said I knew you before the foundation of the world implies that we were life before he created YOU. Now, I am thankful that my mom ( who wasn't married) and a minor when I conceived didn't abort me and she had every opportunity....what about you Mr. Obama??

If you mother had aborted you I wouldn't be able to agree or disagree with you and you wouldn't have the opportunity that you now have to possibly become the first African American President...which by the way you won't recieve my vote and thats' my expression of my God Given Right.

I agree wholeheartedly with njoylife.

I can also see where Christian critics of Obama may accuse him of speaking one way and voting another (trying to please everyone), but I personally agree with and practice his approach. You cannot save others' souls for them by passing laws against recognizing homosexual unions, but you can turn many otherwise eager listeners (not just homosexuals)away from Christ's message through positional bargaining and legal discrimination. Nevermind that fact that many of the laws passed in the name of preventing homosexual unions take away support for those who are in abusive homosexual relationships, and for the children (usually from previous heterosexual marriages) brought into those homes. This then becomes a human rights issue. I don't expect everyone to agree with this (I don't think Obama expects it either),but I hope the rationale behind it is at least clear.

It seems to me that the article describes comments that are patently unbiblical from a currently popular presidential candidate. As other candidates weigh in on Biblical issues such as the sanctity of life and marriage, I have no doubt that articles examining their comments will follow. George Bush's "untruths" and other candidates positions are really outside the scope of this article, and seem to be red herrings that serve to distract from the issue at hand. Namely, this popular presidential candidate is not in line with significant platform issues for Evangelicals!

I find it odd that the author of this article hasn't scrutinized the political and religious views of all of the candidates. I don't think it is fair to bring out one candidates comment, when we currently have a president who constantly refers to his so-called "Christian values" and he's made decisions that are way more controversial and destructive than anything Barack Obama has said regarding views on gay marriage rights.

By the way isn't one sin no greater than another, so let's start shedding light on the lies (untruths) and ungodly comments made by every other "Christian" candidate, and not focus on the issue of gays as if it's more sinful than lying, cheating, stealing, fornicating, etc.

If the author isn't supporting Obama fine, but just say it. Disparaging his image and integrity is not nice or loving.
