A comedian tried to make his mark in personal appearances. The jobs became fewer and fewer. Eventually he joined a circus. His sole job was to follow the elephants and remove all signs of their having made a no-no.  

Another comedian saw him one day and said, "This is demeaning. Why don't you quit?"  

The first comedian said, "What, and get out of show business?"
